The parties discussed development of Japanese-Tatarstan relations in the context of Russian-Japanese relations. Last year alone, within the framework of the cross-year of Japan in Russia and Russia in Japan, more than 600 events were held throughout the country, including more than 10 in Tatarstan.

The visiting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Mintimer Shaimiev, First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Fishman- Bekmambetova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The Palace of Culture of Railwaymen is one of the oldest houses of culture in Kazan, a historical architectural monument.
Specialists in the field of theater and cinema up to 35 years old, as well as students of the last courses of creative universities are invited to participate.
