Today in the Kazan village of Yudino, after a major overhaul, the opening of the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers took place
The ceremony has been attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Head of the Gorky Railway - a branch of Russian Railways, Anatoly Lesun, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The Palace of Culture of Railwaymen is one of the oldest houses of culture in Kazan, a historical architectural monument. The facility was built in 1959. During the reconstruction, the specialists tried to preserve historical appearance of the building as much as possible. The design plays up the theme of the railway: navigation, signs, information stands and signs will be stylized as a railway station navigation.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the residents of Yudino on the Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. He emphasized that the Kazan settlement is a large industrial center, the railway capital of the republic. “Working people live here. We agreed that we will create a sports core, a cultural core, and public spaces. Today we are ready to report to you on the work done, ”the President of the Republic of Tatarstan said.
In addition to the main concert hall with 480 seats, two multifunctional halls have been created. During the reconstruction, special attention was paid to the railway museum, which combines historical artifacts related to the village and the development of the railway business.
Ilsur Metshin noted that Yudino was radically transformed on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the village. “When we started preparations for the celebration of the anniversary date 2 years ago, we could not even dream of such changes. An ice arena appeared, courtyards and houses, a youth center, a monument of glory, and a locomotive were repaired. The standard of living here is no different from the capital. We rejoice together with you, and we thank the leadership of the republic and the federal government for their support, ”the mayor added.
Before the closure of the recreation center, a number of club formations and circles functioned here for repairs in different areas of sports and creative development: a fitness club, artistic gymnastics, a wushu section, an early development school with the study of English and others. In the renovated palace of culture, it is planned to open new sections and circles, in particular, a ballet school, an early development studio, a school of oratory, a film studio, etc.
In parallel with the overhaul of the palace of culture, work was underway on the square in front of the recreation center. The fountain has been restored, small architectural forms have been installed, lighting has been updated, the territory has been landscaped with greenery.
