Rustam Minnikhanov visited the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, which moved to the capital renovated building of the NCC (National Cultural Center)
The visiting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Mintimer Shaimiev, First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Fishman- Bekmambetova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
Rustam Minnikhanov examined the premises of the renovated building: he got acquainted with the installation dedicated to the history of Tatar writing, watched an exhibition based on the book "Tatarstan 100: Before and Now" about the past and present of the republic, and visited a recording studio.
The functional of the building of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan represents a single cultural space. Exhibition spaces, coworking spaces and public spaces have been organized. Also, conditions have been created for the storage and restoration of rare and ancient book funds.
For creative experiments, there is a modern black box hall that can accommodate up to 100 people. Rustam Minnikhanov was told about the technical capabilities of this space. The transformable hall allows you to quickly prepare a room for events of various formats. It can be used as a music, dance and educational venue. But the main direction is the theatrical art. The site will become the residence of the «Ugol» creative laboratory and the «Alif» creative association. The spatial and technical capabilities of the black box hall allow you to experiment with performances, involving the audience. Special attention will be paid to the development of a modern national theater.
In addition, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan was shown an exhibition of old books, manuscripts and photographs, reading rooms, an observation deck.
Then President of Tatarstan took part in one of the first events organized at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan - the ceremony of presenting the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after I. Gabdulla Tukay. As a reminder, this year the prestigious awards were given to:
Gaziev Idris Mudarisovich - for solo programs from works of Tatar composers and folk songs, musical and educational activities;
Osokin Denis Sergeevich - for the collection of works "Garden scarecrows from November to March";
Salavatov Renat Salavatovich, Aleksandrov Yuri Isaakovich, Gerasimenko Viktor Grigorievich, Gatina Gulnora Rustamzhonovna - for staging the opera by Reseda Akhiyarova “Syuyumbike”;
Khamidullin Liron Khaidarovich - for the books "Dardmend", "Buranly tundu" ("On a blizzard night"), "Zarnitsy on the horizon".
