The first theatrical Sabantui was held in 2005, which was attended by all theatrical groups of the Republic of Tatarstan. This year it is held for the ninth time.
The festival "Tuyvezh" is held in order to deepen cooperation in the field of visual arts, promotion of achievements, development of new forms of distribution of arts within the Finno-Ugric international cooperation, the expansion of international contacts of the creative intelligentsia and creative organizations.
In an interview with reporters, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that the Tatar national holiday Sabantui in other regions of Russia is of great importance. "We want to talk about our traditions, our culture, our language, and potential with representatives of other peoples. That is why we, together with our friends Bashkirs, organize this festival in different parts of the country," - acting President of the Republic of Tatartsan said.
A solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Russian language, has been held today at the M. Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet in Kazan. It was attended by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The holiday was established by the United Nations in 2010 and is celebrated on the birthday of Alexander Pushkin. In Russia, celebration of the Russian language was established by Presidential Decree of June 6, 2011.
In addition to participating in the main competition, the program of RT National Museum will hold a presentation on the 120th anniversary of the museum at the central venue of the International Festival "Intermuseum - 2015"
