June 5, at the  residence of  creative industry "Shtab " within the XII International theater festival of Turkic peoples "Nauruz", International Conference "The Vector  of Theatre   Development: East-West." The meeting   has been   held  and  became a landmark event for the festival "Nauruz",  so  for the theatrical sphere  of  Eurasia. The very constructive dialogue,  aimed  by organizers and the participants themselves - took place. Famous theater theorists and practitioners from Germany, Sweden, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia tried to figure out which way the theater will be developed:   the East or   the West, how the events of  critical period   affect  the Theatre, and what is  a "The Theater of The Future."

The idea of the conference belongs to the artistic director of the festival "Nauruz", chief director   of Kamal theatre  Farid Bikchantaev,    and a leading expert on theater,  pedagogics, professor, head of the European Association of theatrical culture and the International Theater Center AKT-ZENT Yuri Alshits. They acted as moderators.

Participants of the meeting were the following:  Ph.D. in Arts  history,   professor, head of the department of history and theory of theatre arts of the Kazakh national  academy of arts named after T. Zhurgenov  Sania Kabdieva (Kazakhstan), doctor, professor, researcher of dramatic arts, the Iranian director of the International theatre festival "Fajr» (Fajr International Theater Festival) Salekhpur Ardeshir (Iran), theater critic, Shakespearian scholar, a jury member of the international Stanislavsky theater award and the national award "Golden Mask", doctor of arts, professor, Alexei Bartoshevitch (Russia), director and pedagogue  Peter Oskarson (Sweden ) and composer, pedagogue  Elmir Nizams (Russia).

"The conference - a wrong name, wrong word, - said Yuri Alshits at the beginning of the meeting. - I propose to call it the word "prediction", which is associated with thinking of specialists and non-specialists about any subject. This kind of game called "What may happen, aimed  to discover something, no win, no money, not to lose, and open.

As the idea of the meeting was made a statement  that one of the vectors of the theater is a move from the West to   the East. Around this idea a dialogue  between   the participants was built. Each conference speaker in his own way revealed the theme of the meeting: the composer - in terms of music, Shakespearian scholar  - from the standpoint of the history of theater, theater director – director’s look ...

"We are living in a critical time. Events that take place today are equaled   by  the philosophers   to  the events of the transition from ape to man. This is not a  change   of generations,  but  transition from one civilization to another. Everything turns into "one big village." These processes are so fast, they  can not be  stopped, the point of no return has already been passed. And the world  before to  be united  will be  very vulnerable - outlined  his  views Yuri Alshits. - All this will affect the judgment of the spectator. No one will follow a certain point of view. Event series   of director will never be approved by the spectacle. It will be the sign "may be on it's worth paying attention to." And it is the only opportunity to engage in dialogue. "

According to world-renowned Shakespearian scholar, chairman of the board of the festival of theater critics Alexei Bartoshevich today "type of theater  universality is being developed." "The type of personality  is born, the type of art is born  that belongs to all mankind. And the process of adding theatrical universality is based on a deep unity of theatrical traditions of different peoples. This process is not violent. The danger to national traditions, of course, there is. But there's nothing you can do about it, "- said Bartoshevitch.

According to the director and pedagogue  from Sweden Peter Oskarson, today we need to focus on the fact that "we are all united" and to continue  creating . "Of course, important for us to remember and to learn about  own culture and traditions. However, the conclusion  of all serious research in this area will be that we are all the same. It is not important  that we are different,  but  what  makes  us  united. We need to think about whether we will survive or not. We must focus on the future and to create  a new theater, to bring  up  new actors   in order to  save humanity "- said Mr. Oskarson.

The guest from Iran - doctor, professor, researcher of Dramatic Arts, the director of one of the world's largest International Iranian theater festival "Fajr" Ardeshir Salekhpur   urged those present  should  not forget the tradition of  their  people. "Everyone now sticks to a new theater, the European avant-garde. We have done a lot to turn Iranian theatre into a modern one, and because of this, much  has been  lost. I'm not saying that we should go back to that, but we have to live with an eye to what we had been left by previous generations, "- the Iranian theatrical figure said.

His view, shared composer Elmir Nizamov, who pointed out that all of those processes named by   the speakers  are  also taking place in  music. "The borders are disappearing, we are all in the same field and can not distinguish what is good and what is bad. But on the other hand, an apocalyptic mood will be the basis for the birth of something new ", -  E. Nizamov said.

There were also opinions that the theater will be developed along the eastern way,   coming  of the   psychological theater to the fore, disappearance of   fibula,   and  emergence of  new professions in  theater arts, including actors -nomads.

The conference  has  ended  by  a stormy debate  between  the audience and the speakers. Organizers said that this meeting would  be the first of a series of conferences on the theme of "Theatre of the Future" and gradually develops  Kazan into the center of Eurasian theater world, the press service of the festival  informs.
