Moscow, July 29,  at the headquarters of the Russian Geographical Society a meeting of Media Club of the Russian Geographical Society   took place. In anticipation of the 170th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society Sergei Shoigu its President and Chairman of the Media Council, Dmitry Peskov, told representatives of leading Russian mass media about the most interesting events and projects that are being implemented by the society in the year of jubilee.

A documentary    by the name  "A new image of Islam. Made in Moscow ». Directed by Natalia Osipova tried to take a fresh look at the life of the Muslim community in Moscow, which currently includes more than 2 million people, avoiding stereotypes. The heroes of the film have become fashion designer  Reseda Suleiman, a specialist in public relations Natalia Narmin (Ichaeva) and composer Zulfiya Raupova. The film tells the stories of activists who seek to improve the social status of Muslims and create a positive image of their religion.

July 27 on the main stage of the park   a unique  collective, a well-known not only in Tatarstan, but also far beyond its borders - National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan  under the direction  by the People's Artist of Russia, laureate of State Prize   after  G. Tukai, professor Anatoly Shutikov   performed

July 30, a concert  by  quintet Evgeni  Boretz  and Diana Polenova   to be  visited  by  several thousand people.

The contest is held by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan and Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired in order to improve civil and political culture of children and youth with disabilities, to stimulate interest in learning the history of the institution of elections and electoral legislation.

From 7 to 15 August, especially,  in the framework of the cultural program of the FINA World Championships in Aquatics,  G.Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre will show  9 performances. Performances traditionally provided with  simultaneous translation into Russian and English. The Kamalovsky theater - the only theater in Tatarstan, which will show performances within  the championship
