August 5 in Kazan opens World Cup Final of Sports Cinema

Dear journalists!

From 5 to 10 August  Kazan will host the World Cup final of XXXIII sports cinema and television. For the first time in its history the final, which is always held in Milan, Italy, has gone beyond the peninsula.

Finalists will be 100 works from 30 countries. Russia will be represented by 25 films, Tatarstan - six works.

Showings of the  Festival will be held in the theater «3D PORT Cinema»  "Riviera". Entrance for spectators - free.

The works    of contestants will be judged by an international jury, the chairman - the Russian writer, director of the film "Total victory" Giorgi Shengelia.

11:40 LCD "Azure Heaven" - a press conference with the participation of the famous athlete, a member of the Presidential Council for Physical Culture and Sport, a member of the IOC, the four-time Olympic champion Alexander Popov, chairman of the jury Giorgi Shengelia, program director of the festival Anastasia Malkova

12.00, the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan - the lecture by the President of the International Sports Federation of Film and Television Franco Ascani (awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Federal University  Franco Ascani)

16.00 Park FINA - Event dedicated to the year before the start of XXXI Summer Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
