The holiday "Semyk" traditionally opens the cycle of the summer holidays of the Mari.

From June 2 to July 7, as part of the FIFA World Cup 2018  Kazan will host the annual International Festival named after Sergey Rachmaninov "White Lilac", founded by the People's Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Sladkovsky.

At the National Art Gallery "Hazine" State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan  the  artistic and literary evening program,  a tour of the exhibition from the collection of the RT National Musuem "After the thaw ..." and a solo performance of  Sergey Dovlatov stories by Iskander Nurizyanova   will be held.

The third program will be performed on May 31 at  the State Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev.

Accompanied by  Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and other guests of the holiday Alexey Pesoshin got acquainted with the folklore, entertaining and information-cognitive areas of "Karavon", talked with the participants of the holiday and representatives of folklore ensembles from different regions of the country.

This year Karavon will gather more than 160 folklore, vocal groups (adults and children) from 40 districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as from 11 regions of the Russian Federation.
