Republican holiday of Mari culture "Semyk" will be held in the Kukmorsky district

June 2, 2018 in the village of Pochinok-Kuchuk of the Kukmorsky municipal district  the Republican holiday of Mari culture "Semyk"  will be held.

The holiday "Semyk" traditionally opens the cycle of the summer holidays of the Mari,  is celebrated  7 weeks from Easter from Wednesday to the Trinity Week and ends on Sunday, on the day of the Trinity.

In Tatarstan, the holiday "Semyk" is being held on a national scale since 1990.

This year Mari folklore and vocal groups from 10 municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yoshkar-Ola, Kuzhenersky district of the Republic of Mari El, Vyatskopolyansky district of the Kirov region will take part in the festival.

Traditionally, the holiday is opened by representatives from the Republic of Mari El.

Anyone can become a participant in contests, competitions, national games, Mari transitions.

The holiday ends with a solemn transfer of the flag to the next area of ​​compact residence of the Mari in our Republic.
