The lecture will focus on the artistic groups of the 1980s and their approach to the construction of communities and interaction with subcultures: Amanita, Kindergarten, C3, Nekrorrealists and Mitki. Guests will analyze not only works of art, but also an expanded field of production of visual images and manifestos linking these groups with other subcultures of the late Soviet era. Also, about the central phenomena of the 90s - the opening of the first galleries of contemporary art (including apartment art) and Moscow actionism.
Boris Klyushnikov is a philosopher and art historian, an expert in the field of methodology of art studies, a teacher of the Department of Cinema and Contemporary Art at the Russian State University for the Humanities, and the author of publications on the problems of the anthology of art.
