The Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired held a webinar for librarians of Bakhchsarai Central Library named after A.S. Pushkin Republic of Crimea

Specialists of the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired held a webinar for librarians of Bakhchsarai central regional library named after Pushkin Republic of Crimea on  Information Services for Visually Impaired.

The Library Director Nail Ibragimovich Safargaliev introduced the participants to the core activities of the library. In his speech, he also highlighted the experience of implementation in the country of the state program "Accessible Environment" and participation of the library. Tiflo-pedagogues Eduard Ibragimov and Marcel Gaifullin told about tiflo-info modern technologies. They also held a master class on the use of certain tiflo-devices and sensor devices providing access to non-visual information to the blind to facilitate orientation in space. Head of the Department of organizational-methodological and bibliographical activities Gelusya Zakirova answered questions from colleagues regarding advertising and promotion of the services and activities of the library.

At the end, director of Bakhchsarai Library Lydia Shelkunova thanked for such a useful and informative event. "For us, this is still a new direction. We are surprised at how advanced is Tatartsan in terms of the use of information technology. We hope that in the future under the direct supervision of your staff, we will develop information technology for the blind and implement all of the blind", - said Lydia Shelkunova.

The libraries also discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the future. In particular, agreed to hold a series of similar events on different directions, the provision of guidance for e-mail consultation on Skype, etc.
