In Yelabuga the VII All-Russian Spassky Fair started

Yesterday,   August 1,  the opening of the VII All-Russian Spassky fair  attended by the Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin took place. The event  is held  from  August 1 to 3  in  Yelabuga. During  these  days,  the town hosts the VII All-Russian festival of bell ringing, having gathered  65 creative groups of bell ringers  and soloists from all over Russia. At the grand opening,  Farid Mukhametshin welcomed the participants and guests of the Spassky  fairs and festival of bell ringing on behalf of the Republic and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and conveyed warm greetings from the Chairman of the RF  State Duma Sergei Naryshkin. "After a long break,   the  Spassky  Fair has been established as an important event in the cultural life of our multinational country. Respect for the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia - the key to constructive social development ", - stated in a telegram received from the head of the Russian parliament.

"Such festivals of folk art have  always been in demand, but in today's political and economic situation   they are of  particularly important - the Chairman of RT State Council said, addressing the audience gathered at the central area of the fair. - This is a great event  of  economic, cultural and social life, not only  for  Yelabuga, but the whole of our country, and I would say, for all  multinational Russia. "However, he added that, unfortunately, the tradition of trade crafts lately have been  forgotten, and the market is full of Chinese goods are not of the highest quality.

The Fair visitors and businessmen welcomed the head of Yelabuzhsky Region,   Mayor   of Yelabuga Gennady Emelyanov. He noted that from year to year  popularity and importance of the Spassky  fair is growing , it attracts more exhibitors and visitors, there is increasing  and attention of the government of the country.

For the first time in the history of  implementation of the Spasskaya fair,  masters  from the Crimea   came, submitted articles of horns,  the artists from Belarus and Uzbekistan  have brought  their works.  Also,  for the first time at the fair an exhibition "Holy Russia: Past, Present and Future" was organized   on the revival and restoration of spiritual values​​. In the "City of Masters", an   interactive workshops on various handicrafts   are arranged.

Assortment  of  the  represented at the fair is growing every year. Of handicrafts - art weaving, gold embroidery, a variety of dolls, art pottery, jewelry making, leather goods and furs, carving and painting on wood, porcelain miniatures and more.

Creative  collectives  from all over the republic  pleased visitors and residents   at the opening.
