Youth theater laboratory "City-art-preparation" is over in Kazan

Youth theater laboratory "City –art-preparation" conducted  by Oleg Loyevky, which became a real theatrical event in the life of the city  is over. For 10 days, a guest directors  from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Germany together with artists from theater  Youth  and  G. Kamal   theatres   spectators and students  of  Kazan drama school , managed to create  "from scratch" live performances in places that before never have been  a theatrical scene.

Laboratory in Kazan once again proved the main thesis of total theater - stage action    odes not need a scene, and may sound dramatic ,  in an abandoned hangar, and the open air. Never mind that a live birch was planted  in the hangar specifically for live performance and barbed wire around it - has become a backdrop for performances in a natural way. All the pieces of  the lab  were staged  in  completely different conditions: chamber space of  center of contemporary culture "Smena", "epic " hangar and open space beside it  with  "Stairway to Heaven."

Drama  and methods of working   chosen by directors  were  various. Kazan spectators  were  struck by the absence  of acting and habitual interaction between actors in the   work  of German director Andreas Merz Raikov on the play "Volokolamskoye Shosse ". This is not surprising: the German school is unusual , and understanding comes   not immediately  that the absence  of interaction between the actors - a thin , well- built  method. The actor does not play in the conventional sense , but passes  internal state of the character  through the internal filling. And the text of the great German playwright Heiner Mulleris self- sufficient - no need to play   it. But the truly shocking    is   that  in the work of German director  every hand movement , head rotation , every step of the actor  is built.

 A round table in Sviyazhsk allowed to bring  RF Ministry of culture  to the development of the island-town  Sviyazhsk  . Artistic director of "City -art- preparation " Oleg Loevsky personally is going  to  hand over a letter to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky , in which lab participants and well known theatrical figures of Tatarstan present  their ideas on how to make Sviyazhska  a platform  of the  contemporary art.
