XVIII Festival of theaters of small towns of Russia will be held in Naberezhnye Chelny

Dear journalists!

From 2 to 9 June 2021, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the XVIII Festival of Theaters of Small Towns of Russia (FTMGR) will be held in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The festival will bring together 16 creative colectives  from different regions of the country: theaters from the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Udmurtia; Perm and Krasnoyarsk Territories; Leningrad, Pskov, Sverdlovsk, Kemerovo, Samara, Rostov, Irkutsk and Lipetsk regions.

On June 3, at 16:30, a press conference will be held at the Open City conference hall dedicated to the program of the 18th Festival of Theaters of Small Towns of Russia.

Speakers:

Yulia Ildarovna Adgamova - First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan;

Nail Gambarovich Magdeev - Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny (planned);

Evgeny Vitalievich Mironov - Artistic Director of the Festival, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Artistic Director of the State Theater of Nations, laureate of State Prizes of the Russian Federation, member of the Council for Culture and Art under the President of the Russian Federation;

Oleg Solomonovich Loevsky - laureate of the Stanislavsky International Theater Prize, director of the Realny Theater festival, theater critic;

Elena Valerievna Nosova is the curator of the State Theater of Nations for the support of theaters in small towns in Russia.

A transfer from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan to Naberezhnye Chelny will be organized for the press conference and the opening of the festival.

The jury of the festival, headed by People's Artist of Russia Olga Ostroumova, includes leading theater critics. They will have to determine the winners in the nominations: Grand Prix for "Best performance of large form" and "Best performance of small form", "Best male role", "Best female role", prize "Hope". By tradition, laureates in large and small forms will present their works in Moscow, on the stage of the Theater of Nations.
