Оn February 20, in the Exhibition Hall of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve, the grand opening of the exhibition "Land of Legends" from the collection of the Sarapul Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve took place.

The guests were greeted by the General Director of EGMZ GulzadaRudenko, Head of the Executive Committee of the EMP LenarNurgayanov, Head of the Tourism Department of the Tourism Development Department of the Ministry of Economy of the Udmurt Republic YuliaZheleznyak, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of Sarapul Irina Mymrina. The delegation of the Sarapul Museum-Reserve was headed by its director Sabina Kreklina.

Traditionally, museum workers exchanged memorable gifts and their own branded souvenirs. Another gift is a painted portrait of M.I. Tsvetaeva - the Yelabuga Museum-Reserve received from the icon painter IlgizKhanov. The musical mood was created by the singer and kuraistTalgatZaripov. The first excursion around the exhibition was conducted by DariaKozlova, Deputy Director of the Sarapul Museum-Reserve for Scientific and Educational Activities.

Udmurtia and Tatarstan are territories where many peoples have been living in dialogue and cooperation for a long time. Elabuga and Sarapul play a special role in the socio-economic and national-cultural development of these regions - two district trade and industrial centers of the Vyatka province, which are linked by famous personalities and events, family and business traditions. In 2018, the cities signed an agreement on cooperation in various fields and fields of activity.

The Land of Legends is the first exhibition project of the Yelabuga and Sarapul Museum-Reserves. It reveals the ethnic heritage of the peoples living on the territory of the Kama region and modern Udmurtia in the conditions of multinational Russia. The exposition presents more than 360 exhibits: national costumes and elements of clothing (Russians, Tatars, Bashkirs, Udmurts, Mari), jewelry, household items, home furnishings of the 19th - mid-20th centuries.
