In Naberezhnye Chelny, the online premiere of the performance of the theater. G. Kamala "Extinguished Stars" will take place

6 February 2020, Thursday

Broadcast from Kazan will be directly from the Kamal Theater in HD quality. This is the first such example in the history of the Tatar theater.

Such online broadcasts contribute to the implementation of one of the main tasks of the national project "Culture" - to ensure maximum accessibility of cultural goods for citizens, to overcome the inequality in the degree of their accessibility caused by  geographical features of the territory.

So, in 2019, the G. Kamal Theater conducted 11 online broadcasts of performances and anniversary evenings, which were watched by more than 24,000 spectators.

“For the third year now, we have been organizing online broadcasting of our events on the Internet. For example, in October last year, we showed the live opening of the season, the performance “Blue Shawl”, 5 cameras also shot the backstage of the theater, and a teleconference was held with Tatar diasporas around the world. Altogether, over 30 thousand people watched the broadcast, this is a very good indicator, ”says Ilfir Yakupov, Director of TSAT named after G. Kamal. - Thanks to the subsidies allocated by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, we were able to purchase our own equipment for broadcasting. And we decided to go to a new level - to show performances on the big screen in the cinema! ”

The city of Naberezhnye Chelny was not chosen by chance for live broadcasting - here the Kamala Theater is a welcome guest, the tours always take place with a full house.

About the play "Extinguished  Stars":

After half a century, the legendary play by Karim Tinchurin returns to the stage of Kamalovsky! Director Farid Bikchantaev. The only impressions of the season are only February 14, 15 and 16. The artist of the performance is Sergey Skomorokhov, the lighting designer is Taras Mikhalevsky, the plastic director is Olga Daukaeva, the authors of the arrangements are the Juna group.

Directed by Marcel Salimzhanov, the play "Extinguished Stars" gained fame back in the 1970s. But times have changed. Today, the anti-militaristic pathos of the play, reinforced by the theme of homegrown mysticism and quackery, sounds especially relevant. The work is rich in ethnographic details and poetic beauty, which will enable the artist to realize his most daring visual ideas, and the troupe will give the opportunity to rethink the classic canons. The structure of the play is surprising in that it does not have pronounced antagonistic heroes. Sarwar and Ismagil are opposed not by Nadir Mahdum and not even by the old healer, but by impersonal categories - ignorance, fatal militarism, and the forces of rock, which brings “Extinguished  Stars” closer to ancient tragedy. At the same time, the plot is at the mercy of the melodrama genre, which will ensure the spectator's interest in the performance. But it is obvious that behind the forefront of the plot, the director will build other relations between the characters and reveal new meanings of the famous work.
