Today Kazan has launched the International Summit on Culture and Education “KazGIK-50”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Kazan State Institute of Culture.
The plenary meeting of the summit was held in the concert hall of the Institute of Culture. Before it began, the following questions of journalists were answered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva; RT Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova; First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the RT Andrei Pominov; and acting Rector of the Kazan Institute of Culture Roza Akhmadieva and head of the GITIS variety art department Mikhail Borisov.
As Leyla Fazleeva noted, a forum that considers issues related to national history, culture, and customs of any people living in the republic and the country as a whole "has global significance." “Underestimating him, of course, is impossible. According to Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, the mission of the Institute of Culture is, first of all, "a scientific understanding of the trends that are taking place today in the world of culture." “It is no secret that today the transformation of cultural trends is underway - this is a global trend. And how to maintain national identity in the system of transformational processes is a very big task for scientific understanding of the institute of culture as well. In general, the presence of a scientific school in the field of culture is a great value for the region. Not everyone has been given this value, ”she said.
Irada Ayupova also said that the Kazan Institute of Culture has successfully passed accreditation, which in its opinion is a “big victory”. In general, according to her, training in the field of culture is of a specific nature, and it is more of an applied character. “All conditions for work have been created today, we are very actively cooperating. We have a lot of ideas for new projects, especially since now we are integrating the cultural component into the education system. I think that without the support of students we will not be able to fully realize this, therefore there are a lot of plans, ”concluded the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rosa Akhmadieva, rector of the Kazan Institute of Culture, in turn, noted that today the institute is doing a lot of work to preserve national cultural identity. “Our main task is to keep our traditions and culture,” she said.
First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrei Pominov is sure that the significance of the Institute of Culture can hardly be overestimated today. “Now there is a transformation in the higher education system. We are moving to new standards and our institute of culture is actively immersed in this process, it successfully passed accreditation, and a high rating was given. This is a sign of the quality of the education that students receive within the walls of this university, ”he said.

Pominov also noted that today the Kazan Institute is preparing for modern, demanded specialties, such as, for example, sound engineers. “This work is carried out here at a high level, students take prizes in the championships of working professions, I think that this trend will continue at the institute,” he said.
