Gastronomic festival "Sviyazhskaya ukha-2017" will be held in Tatarstan

The State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve "Island-Grad Sviyazhsk" and Association "Lenivy Torzhok"  September 9, 2017 at 12.00 invite all lovers to eat deliciously, and also have a good and fun time to  a gastronomic festival "Sviyazhskaya Ukha(Fish broth)-2017".

Guests are promised  tasting of dishes, a costumed procession, master classes, competitions, a concert and a fire show.

One of the main and most popular crafts on the island of Sviyazhsk since its inception was fishing. Since the XVI century, this occupation was considered one of the most profitable among the inhabitants of the island. More often than not, local fishermen's nets were filled with bream - this fish became one of the symbols of the island and was honored to become part of the Sviyazhsk coat of arms. It is not surprising that during the fish spawning on the river in the city, not one bell  would ring, and the secrets of cooking fish broth were passed down from generation to generation.
