Press release will be held at Mir cinema

August 22 at 16.00 in the cinema "Mir" will be another special press-show of one of the films of the program XIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival. This is the painting "Burning Birds" directed by Sanjeev Puspakumar. The film is produced in co-productions by the countries of Sri Lanka-France-Netherlands-Qatar. The tape was not included in the main contest program and will be shown at the festival in the framework of the out-of-competition program "Hindustan at the Crossroads of Cultures".

The film "Burning Birds", created in 2016, was already shown at the festivals of Busan IFF, Tokyo Filmex, Rotterdam, Goteborg; Received a special jury prize in Tokyo.

After the film screening, a discussion will be held on the criteria for selecting films for the festival and their distribution in a competitive and out-of-competition program. The program director of the festival Albina Nafigova and film critic, member of the selection committee Adil Khaibullin will take part in the discussion.
