The panel of jury of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival approved

The panel  of the jury of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival has been  approved. The jury will be headed for the first time by People's Artist of Russia, director and screenwriter Nikolai Dostal. Another innovation of this year will be the fact that 20 experts from 11 countries will work in the jury.

Producer from the USA Larry Jackson ("Silence of the Lambs", "Stranger than in Paradise"), film critic, publicist Abdurrazak Azzakher (Morocco), actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of Russia Victor Verzhbitsky (Russia,) director and screenwriter Salavat Yuzeev (Russia, Tatarstan)  will evaluate   full-length feature films of the contest program.     .

The jury of the contest nominations "Short feature film" and "Young Russia" will include: film director, director of the Geneva Film Festival "FIFOG" Tahar Houchi (Switzerland),  head of the major Russian agency for promotion of films for festivals "Festagent" Ivan Zolotukhin (Russia), actor Orhan Milli (Turkey).

The best documentaries (short and full meter) will be chosen by director and screenwriter Sharofat Arabova (Tajikistan), film critic Ulvi Methi (Azerbaijan), director Alireza Shahrokhi (Iran).

Traditionally, a jury of film critics and film critics will work at the Kazan Film Festival, which will include a film critic, culturologist, TV host Kirill Razlogov (Russia), author of books about cinema, member of the screening commission of the Moscow International Film Festival Marina Toropygina (Russia), film critic Gulbar Tolomushova (Kyrgyzstan). The jury of film experts will award each of the films with a separate award.

For the first time an independent jury of the press will work at the festival, uniting leading film reviewers and journalists from abroad, Russia and Tatarstan. The jury of the press this year will include a columnist for the ProfiCinema portal, Vita Ramm, deputy editor-in-chief of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, (Lithuania / Russia, Moscow), Yevgeny Maisel (Russia, St. Petersburg), editor-in-chief of the journal Art of Cinema Department of Culture of the TV channel "Efir" Dmitry Pivovarov (Russia, Kazan).

Cinematographer Miroljub Vuckovic (Serbia), producer, actress Diana Safarova (Russia, Tatarstan), film critic, film critic Elena Alekseeva (Russia, Tatarstan) will evaluate Tatarstan films in a separate category "National Cinema Section".
