The Minister of Culture of Tatarstan told about planned cultural events during the Confederations Cup

Today the Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin spoke at a press conference in the media center for the non-accredited media of the Confederations Cup in Kazan. He told about planned cultural events during the FIFA Confederations Cup.

According to him, the theaters, concert halls and other cultural institutions of the capital of Tatarstan extended the season until the end of the tournament.

In this period, 48 events are planned - 9 concerts and 39 performances, including open air events. "So, at the park near the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukay there will be concerts of the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra," the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.

On the days of the FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup, the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil will host the International Music Festival "Kazan classic fest", which will feature 3 operas "Aida", "Troubadour", "Eugene Onegin" and 2 ballets " Swan Lake "and" Don Quixote ". Also within the framework of the festival there will be concerts of the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble.

The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan will perform two concerts from the works of foreign classical music. The State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan will present 3 concert programs: "Film, film, film", "Hundred Hours of Happiness", "Circumnavigation", where hits of national and foreign music will be performed.

On June 27, the 6th Festival of Sacred Music "Music of Faith" will end on the territory of the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin. The State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan and the folk instruments orchestra "Kazan Nuri" will take part in the gala concert. They will perform spiritual music of different religions, songs of the peoples of the world in original arrangements.

According to Ayrat Sibagatullin, all the state drama theaters of Kazan prolong the theatrical season and during the Cup of Confederations FIFA 2017 will show performances from the current repertoire, as well as present premieres. "All the performances in accordance with the available technical capabilities will be provided with English-language simultaneous translation," the minister added.
