Alexander Kuryshev: "Sabantui" aroused a keen interest of the Maltese spectators and was received with enthusiasm

Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Assembly of Russian Compatriots in Malta, Alexander Kuryshev, sent a letter of thanks to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for organizing and hosting the holiday.

"Sabantuy" in the Republic of Malta was  held  first time. Artists from Kazan came to congratulate the residents of the city and  guests in the city of Bahar Ich-Chak: Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Aidar Gaynullin, teacher of the Kazan Conservatory Airat Imashev, singer Gulnaz Battalova.

"Thanks to the performance of great musicians, the Russian-speaking community and the local population received a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the national Tatar musical creativity and beautiful folk tradition. The holiday "Sabantuy" aroused a keen interest of the Maltese spectators and was received with enthusiasm. We  have decided to hold Sabantui in Malta on an annual basis, as this holiday was remembered and loved by both Russian compatriots and local residents," -the letter reads.
