Today at the Opera and Ballet Theater after M. Jalil held a concert dedicated to the Day of the Russian language and the 218th anniversary of the birth of the poet Alexander Pushkin held

The participants in the hall were congratulated by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was attended by RT State Councilor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council of RT Farid Mukhametshin, Chief  of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of public organizations.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, this holiday is always celebrated by all the peoples of our multinational country. The development of the Russian language in the Republic of Tatarstan is aimed at state programs and a lot of cultural projects, a special place is occupied by festivals that help to preserve good traditions and pass on experience to new generations.

"The diversity of languages, traditions and cultures is our priceless treasure. The connecting thread is the Russian language. I thank everyone who participates in  development, preservation and multiplication of it - teachers, cultural and scientific figures, public organizations, spiritual leaders, public enthusiasts, "Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Then the ceremony of presentation of state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan was held. By  Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Medal of the Republic of Tatarstan "For Valiant Labor" was awarded to:

- for the great contribution to the development of the education system and long-term fruitful work, Valentina Vasilyevna Kibets, director of Lyceum No. 9 named after A.S. Pushkin from the  Zelenodolsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan;

- For a great contribution to the development of culture and many years of fruitful work, the choirmaster of the Malobugulminsky Village House of Culture of the Centralized District Club System of the Bugulma Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan  Saveliev Valery Demyanovich.

Honorary title "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan" was conferred on:

- for the contribution to the development of the education system and conscientious work to the leading adviser of the general education and final certification department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Islamova  Gulnara Ildarovna;

- for merits in the field of education and long-term conscientious work to the teacher of the Russian language and literature of the gymnasium No. 26 of Naberezhnye Chelny, Chuchalina  Galina Timofeevna;
