June 1 at the Literary-memorial complex "Kyrlai" winners of the creative work competition "Soykemle Shurale" - "A Charming Shurale" to be announced

On June 1, 2017, opening  the exhibition of the VIII International Contest of Creative Works "Soykemle Shurale" - " A Charming Shurale",  and a solemn awarding of the winners will take place at  the Literary-memorial complex "Kyrlai" (Novy Kyrlai village, Arsky Municipal District) will be held.

The purpose of the contest is to identify the creative abilities of children and adolescents to preserve and develop folk traditions in contemporary arts and crafts,  support of  gifted children, sharing  experiences between representatives of creative associations and familiarizing  the younger generation with the literary heritage of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.

The founders of the Contest are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of the World Tatar Congress, the Public Organization of Tatar Women of the Republic of Tatarstan "Ak Kalfak".

The organizers of the contest are the Republican Center for  Development of Traditional Culture, the "Kyrlai" complex of the Arsky District.

The pupils  of grades 1-10 of municipal general education organizations, participants of children's amateur associations of cultural and recreational institutions of the Russian Federation, CIS countries and foreign countries took part in the contest.

This year, the republican organizing committee has  received about 380 applications, of which 135 participants from 28 municipal districts, 15 from 3 regions of the Russian Federation (the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ulyanovsk, Moscow) and 1 from Australia in  nominations:

1. Art embroidery, lace (bobbin lace);

2. Pachwork sewing;

3. Art processing  of  skin;

4 Articles of felt;

5. Artistic processing of wood: woodcarving, incrustation; Products from birch bark, wood painting;

6. Folk toy: sculpture of small forms of clay, straw, willow twig, textiles, wood.

The program includes a theatricalized meeting, an examination of the exposition of the G.Tukai Museum, a Saghdi-Aby Salikhov home-museum of the little Tukai's adopted father, laying flowers at the monument to G.Tukai, holding a grand opening of the exhibition of works by the winners of the contest, master classes on painting on glass (Tatar Ornament) and on  painting of clay figurines (Tatar ornament), awards ceremony, a concert prepared by amateur artists of the regional House of Culture of the Arsky Municipal District.
