May 21, 2017 at the age of 57 untimely died People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, balalaika-player, composer Rafik Tazetdinov.
R.Z. Tazetdinov was born on January 19, 1961 in the village of St. Kakerli the Drozhzhanovsky district of the Tatarstan.
In 1988 he graduated from the Kazan State Institute of Culture and Arts. After graduating from the institute, R.Z. Tazetdinov began to work at the department of orchestral conducting.
In 1993, R.Z. Tazetdinov organized the ensemble of folk instruments "Kazan", in 1995 - the theater of folklore and variety instrumental music. In 1996, 2001 and 2003 audio albums were released with the works by R.Z. Tazetdinov.
R.Z. Tazetdinov actively performed as a soloist, as part of various folklore and instrumental groups in cities of Russia and abroad in Italy, France, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia.
In 1994, RZ Tazetdinov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Tatar SSR, in 2010 - People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan.
