In Tatarstan, the VI Festival of Sacred Music "Music of Faith" ("Iman Mona") will take place.

In May and June 2017, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Salikh Saidashev State Big Concert Hall traditionally hold  the Festival of Sacred Music "Music of Faith" ("Iman Mona"). Its special feature is  thematic concerts dedicated to the music of different faiths.

The forum was established in 2012 to revive and popularize  spiritual musical culture, unite people of different faiths, familiarize a wide range of listeners with the treasures of the world musical art, and also strengthen the image of Tatarstan as a center for tolerance and peaceful coexistence of people of different nationalities and religions.

The opening of the festival will take place in Bolgar on May 20, on  holiday "Izge Bolgar uyeny", timed to the anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. Traditionally, this memorable day attracts the attention of a large number of Muslims from different regions of Russia. The event is attended by high-ranking guests, spiritual figures, representatives of culture. It is expected that the guests of the holiday will be several tens of thousands of people. Famous Tatarstan performers and ensembles will take part in the concert in an open air. In the program - music of Islam, Tatar folk songs, author's works.

June 12 at  the Museum of the History of Sviyazhsk (at 11.00) and the Cathedral of the Theotokos "All the Afflicted Joy" (at 12.00)  concerts will be held in which the State String Quartet of the Republic of Tatarstan,   Choir chapel after   L. Ustsova of the Volga  Federal University, a choir of students of the Kazan Orthodox Seminary, Metropolitan Choir of the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery   will take part.

The final concert of the festival will be held on June 27 at 7 pm at the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin. The State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan under the direction  of Milyausha Tamindarova and the folk instruments orchestra "Kazan Nuri" (artistic director Rasim Ilyasov) will perform  spiritual music of different religions and songs of the peoples of the world in original arrangements. The decoration of the evening will be the performance by  Alina Sharipzhanova.
