In Kazan, Super Final of the 17th Republican Open Youth TV Festival of Pop Art "Constellation-Yoldyzlyk" opens

In Kazan at  the concert hall "Unix" the opening of the Super-final of the 17th Republican Open Youth TV Festival of Pop Art "Constellation-Yoldyzlyk" was held.

In Kazan,  the  Unix Concert Hall hosted  opening of the Super-Final of the 17th Republican Open Youth Festival of Pop Art "Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk", held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

The well-known Russian TV host, professor, head of pop art department of RUTI (GITIS), laureate of the RF Government award in the field of culture Mikhail Borisov congratulated  participants of the festival with the start of the Super-Final. "With  coming of spring, we look forward to the start of the festival. I want to see the wave of young talents, to feel a phenomenon that we see and admire every year. Participation in "Constellation-Yoldyzlyk" is a victory: victory over oneself, over inertia and laziness, "he stressed." The current festival broke its last year's record in the number of applications submitted. In  zonal stages more than 21 thousand young talents from all cities and regions of Tatarstan competed. More than 5,000 contestants won a ticket to the Super Final and arrived in Kazan today.

Traditionally, the jury of the festival included well-known cultural figures and bright  representatives of Russian show business. This year a leading choreographer of the show programs of the First Channel,  director of the show "Ice Age",  choreographer of the Russian national figure skating team Igor Orshulyak and the main music editor of the projects of the First Channel "Golos" and "Golos. Participants  will  demonstrate their talents in three main nominations: vocal, choreography and entertainer.

This year the jury of the festival has  started its work before the schedule. Yesterday,  the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the first round for participants in the "Vocal-solo" nomination of the older age group. This decision was due to the annual growth of participants. According to the program, the jury daily has to review about 300 numbers.

Today the contest day  traditionally started by the participants in  nomination "Choreography", and already in the afternoon the festival race will be picked up by talents in  nomination "Compere", "Vocal solo" and "Vocal Ensembles".

Ahead of the contestants five more days of creative competitions. The names of winners and winners of the festival will be announced this Friday. On April 14, at 17:00, the first gala concert will be held at the Unix club. And a week later, on April 22, the final gala-concert of the festival will take place at  the "Pyramid" complex.
