Tatarstanians are invited to the "Cossack outpost"

May 5 – 8,  in St. Petersburg, the VII All-Russian Children's Festival Competition "The Cossack Outpost" will take place. Children's and youth creative groups and soloists, instrumentalists, performers of the artistic word and representatives of arts and crafts are invited to participate in the show.

The contest will take place at the Orthodox Theater "Strannik (Wanderer)" in St. Petersburg, a gala concert - at the Russian Ethnographic Museum. For participants of the festival an extensive excursion program will be organized.

The organizers of the festival are the All-Russian Public-State Organization Russian Military Historical Society, the Union of Cossacks-Warriors of Russia and Abroad,   the  Zarnitsa Center for Patriotic Education and Tourism,  the Kanikuly Pedagogical Center with the support of the educational and methodological center of the Leningrad Region, the Krestovozdvizhensky Cossack Cathedral of St. Petersburg, the Orthodox Theater "Strannik",  the Russian Ethnographic Museum.

The main goal of the festival is patriotic education, civic and spiritual formation of children and youth on the basis of studying and preserving  history and culture of Russia, traditions and customs of the Cossacks and peoples living on the territory of Russia and neighboring countries.
