May 12-13, 2017, in Astrakhan, all- Russia Sabantui to be held

On the preparation for the holiday   in Astrakhan at the organizational meeting  were speaking  with  the Chairman of Government  of  the Astrakhan region Konstantin Markelov. The meeting was  attended by:  RT Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of Nizhnekamsk region Aidar Metshin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the World Congress of Tatars Danis Shakirov, Director of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Zhukov and representatives of the departments of  the Astrakhan region services involved in large-scale events.

We remind the  Federal Sabantuy-2017 will be held in Astrakhan on May 12-13. The program of the first day - a concert of masters of arts of Tatarstan and a solemn reception on behalf of President of Tatarstan. The concert, to be held in one of the best halls in the region - Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater in which  will take part  the best professional creative teams and performers, masters of folk arts and crafts. On  the second day of the feast itself will be held at the central stadium. In addition, thematic platforms and mass festivities will be organized in all districts of the region.

In 2008,  Astrakhan already hosted Russian Sabantuy. Today - in the year of the 300th anniversary of Astrakhan province on the proposal of the Governor of Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin a scale holiday here will mark the second time. The symbolic baton to Sabantui - 2016 in Nizhny Novgorod  adopted  Chairman of the Regional Society of Tatar culture "Duslyk" Anver Almaev.

In Tatarstan there was a practice of adopting a holding Sabantui in Russian regions, municipal formations of the republic. Federal holiday i traditionally prepares Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, which showed the best experience in this business.

For reference: the Federal Sabantuy, the main national holiday of the Tatars, will be held this year for the seventeenth time. Every year it attracts tens of thousands of visitors from across the country and has long been positioned at the federal level as one of the key Russian activities aimed at harmonization of interethnic relations in our country.
