In Kazan, owner of annual Shalyapin’s scholarship announced

Awarding  Shalyapin’s scholarship - a traditional event, which is held on the occasion of the birthday of our famous  countryman. Its laureates in different years became  well-known  performers: Bolshoi Theatre’s  soloist Mikhail Kazakov, soloist of "Helikon-Opera" Alexey Tikhomirov, soloist of the Tatar State Philharmonic and the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre  after M. Jalil Vladimir Vasiliev. Today's event continues the tradition established by Fyodor Chaliapin - in 1912 he was awarded a scholarship of best student of the Sixth Primary College, from which he graduated himself in 1885. Years later, it was supported   by  the Literary-Memorial Museum  after M. Gorky and Kazan Society of lovers of  Shaliapin’s  creativity. Today   a prestigious prize has been  awarded   Dmitry Bosov, 2nd year student of vocal department of the Kazan State Consrevatory  after  N.Zhiganov,  V.Vasiliev class.   

The vocalist was  congratulated  by  Deputy Minister of Culture Svetlana Persova. In addition, to honor and recognize the young man  has received  good and material support. This year, the RT Ministry of Culture funded the scholarship, significantly increasing its size.
