Zufar Gimaev with great success working in different genres - thematic painting, landscape, portrait. The artist painted the monumental images of prominent contemporaries and artists, such as Salih Saidashev, Bucky Tanks Urmanche, Gaysha Rakhmankulova, chamber portraits of women and children. An important place in his works belongs landscapes. Thematic works devoted to the life of the modern Tatar village. They are characterized by excellent knowledge of the rural reality, love and sensitivity to people.
The exhibition will open on February 9 and will last a month.
For reference: Zufar Gimaev born January 9, 1951 in the city of Namangan, Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Kazan Art School and the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture after I.E. Repin.
From 2001 to 2008 he worked at the Art Fund of the RT. Since 2008, chairman of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Since 1970, Zufar Gimaev - participant of the All-Union, national, zonal and national exhibitions. Z.Gimaev’s works were exhibited at international exhibitions in Turkey and Slovakia. The artist's works are kept in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Museum of Fine Arts after V.I. Surikov (Krasnoyarsk), the Museum after S.Saydashev (Kazan), Art Gallery of Almetyevsk, at the Tatar Academic Theatre after G. Kamal, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
In 2002 Z. Gimaev was awarded the honorary a title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan, in 2003, he was awarded the prize of B.I. Urmanche, in 2005 – a laureate of the RT G. Tukai State Award, in 2012 he was awarded Honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, in 2016 at the International Festival of Fine Arts in Slovakia, awarded the prize after Tibor Bartfai.
