110th anniversary of the Chuvash poet celebrated in Tatarstan

At a small   motherland of the national poet of Chuvashia Pyotr Khuzangai - in a village  Sikterme – Huzangaevo of the  Alkeyevsky district an  Interregional festival of poetry  took place, and in Aksubaevsky regional House of Culture - a big concert  of  Chuvash   pop and opera singers.

The delegation has been  headed by  Minister of the Chuvash culture for Nationalities and archives of the Chuvash Republic Konstantin Yakovlev. On the feast of poetry   the poet’s  family  came  -   a spouse,  People's Artist of the USSR, a pride of  Chuvash people,  Vera Kuzmina and son, writer Atner Huzangai. Guests  have been  met  by  Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Guzel Sharipova, director of the House of Friendship of Peoples of Tatarstan, member of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Sharipov.

Today, at a small motherland  a lot is being  done for the promotion of the creative heritage of Peter Huzangai,   a  museum of the poet is working, recitation contests and literary readings are held. To expand this work  a cooperation agreement in the field of culture  was signed by  Minister of Culture of Chuvashia  Konstantin Yakovlev  and head  of Alkeevsky  municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Nikoshin.
