Today, the State Council held a meeting of the Editorial Board for the support and promotion of the Tatar national literature and literary language, where Tatar prose authors for inclusion in the Anthology of modern prose of peoples of Russia have been named. The meeting was held by Chairman of the RT State Council, head of the Editorial Board Farid Mukhametshin.
Today's meeting of the Editorial Board set up by decree of the Cabinet of Ministers for the preparation of the best works of Tatar literature and translation for publication within the framework of the national literature anthologies of Russia’s peoples - final. In August this year the council members sent materials for anthologies of contemporary poetry and children's literature in Russia. Today the authors of prose have been defined.
Opening the meeting of the Editorial Board, Farid Mukhametshin said that to choose from a wide variety of contemporary prose works only three writers was very difficult. In addition, the requirements in terms of the text were also very hard - no more than 2 authors sheets and 80 000 letters.
Of the proposed works by 25 authors of Tatar prose Editorial Board selected four works of the three authors. In particular, for inclusion in the Anthology of modern prose Russia’s peoples the works by f Marcel Galiev "Atilla Ruhy" ( "The Spirit of Attila"), Rustem Galiullin "Ata hyam Ul" ( "Father and Son") and the "Divana" ( "Fool"), by Nabirya Gimatdinova "Kilyachek" ( "Future"). Voting for these personalities was unanimous.
Farid Mukhametshin instructed the Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic carefully work on translations of literary works of Tatar literature, since they will be published in Russian language. It is important to take into account the position and the author and the translator, because translation is also a creative process, head of parliament noted.
The publication of three anthologies - one of the tasks of the federal program to support the national languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation. Perhaps in the future it will be also decided on the publication of anthologies of modern drama and contemporary journalism of Russia’s peoples.
