November 6 – 7, the Museum-Reserve "The Island of Sviyazhsk" will carry out activities associated with significant memorable date, the 110th anniversary of the completion of the construction and consecration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Sviyazhsky icon "Joy of All Who Sorrow" (1897 - 1906;. The cathedral is one of the largest Orthodox churches in Tatarstan, a remarkable monument of cultural and historical heritage of the late XIX - early XX century, the last temple built in Sviyazhsk before the era of revolutionary upheavals.
