On October 31, at the State Grand Concert Hall S.Saydashev the winners of the III International Piano Competition named after Sofia Gubaidulina were awarded.
The contest was held at the Kazan Conservatory on October 26 and ended with a gala concert where members of the jury and the winners of the contest performed.
Special prizes were awarded to: Aelita Nasybullina - Prize "The youngest participant"; Nikita Tyutin - prize "For the best performance of the miniaturesl"; Daniel Malyuta - prize "For the best performance of Chakona of Sofia Gubaidulin"; Milyausha Khairullina - a special diploma of the jury. The title of the winner of III degree awarded to Natela Chokheli and Anna Funtikova, the second place was shared by Alina Gibadullina abd Daniel Malyuta. The title of the winner of I degree was awarded to Ekaterina Chebotareva.
During three rounds of the contest participants had to perform major programs in the final round, the pianists were accompanied by the Junior Orchestra (by direction – deserved figure of arts of Russia, professor Sergei Ferulev). At the conductor's podium stood a Polish conductor Bokhuslav David. Contestants were asked to perform with an orchestra Mozart's Piano Concerto (№ 20 or №21 at oprion) - one of the favorite composers Sofia Asgatovna Gubaidulina.
The jury included People's Artist of Russia Yuri Slesarev, a soloist of the Moscow Conservatory, member of the Presidential Council for Arts Ekaterina Mechetina, Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Tatarstan Evgeny Mikhailov. Mastery of contestants was also assessed by Professor of the Royal Academy of Music in London Rustem Khairutdinov (England), and Honorary doctor of music of David Boguslaw (Poland).
The jury noted the high level of preparation of the participants, which adequately coped with complex programs, the press service of the Kazan State Conservatory informs.
