The Museum of the Pushechny Dvor (Cannon Yard) of the "Kazan Kremlin" Reserve-Museum will host an exhibition "Bright colors of dance. Painted Dymkovo toy "

October 6, at 16.00 pm, at  the Museum of the Cannon Yard  of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" exhibition will open "Bright colors of dance. Painted Dymkovo toy. " Dymkovsky craft  - a unique phenomenon of Russian folk art, which came to us from time immemorial, perhaps the most famous and popular of the folk art, whose fame has long crossed the borders of our country. Home to one of the oldest crafts of Russia is the city of Kirov.

 

The exhibition presents the clay toys and reliefs - works of Russian arts and crafts, folk arts and crafts of XIX-XXI centuries from the collections of the Kirov Museum Dymkovo toys and from private collections.

 

Visitors will get acquainted with the unique, original art of  manufacturing toys and products from red clay. Dymkovo toy - is fashioned by hand from clay figurines, whitewashed and painted with bright, multi-colored geometric designs. Nannies with children, sheep with gold horns, turkeys, roosters, handsome young men, ladies in colorful dresses - these are the subjects that can be seen in Dymkovo toy. But at the same time, there can not be two identical products. For the production of toys from sculpting to painting  - a creative process, never is repeating.

 

The exhibition is complemented by modern works presented in the wonderful souvenirs, interior decorations and toys.

The exhibition is open: Tuesday - Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - 10: 00am- 18:00pm (ticket office open until 17:30pm)

Friaday- 11: 00- 20:00 (ticket office open until 19:30)
