A Splendid  Festival "Shombai-fest» - in a brilliant theater of a brilliant city...

 This emotionally-tinged, assessment  of the  II Kazan International Festival of Puppet Theatres "Shombai-fest"  was made  at the final press conference was given by one of the members of the jury, the eminent master, People's Artist of Russia, President of the Russian Association "Puppet Theatre - XXI century"  by  Stanislav Fedorovich Jelezkin ...

 All the   guests speakers at the press conference  appreciated the level of organization of the festival, expressed gratitude to the administration  of the Puppet   theater "Ekiyat", on the basis of which   this theatrical forum  has been held for the second time, paid tribute to the theater team efforts to ensure productive work and the creation of this creative atmosphere for all the  participants of the festival.

Rapidly  festival days flew off  - from    September 26 to 30.

170 guests have  arrived at the festival, representing 14 collectives from Belarus, Turkmenistan, Yakutiya, Crimea, Samara, Vladimir, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg, Belgorod, Cheboksary, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan.

Total, 15 performances have been shown to  Kazan audience and authoritative jury.

The program has been built very tight timetable of the jury was a super-tense, as each they  day had to watch  3-4  plays.

One of the days of the festival -  September 29 - theater critic and member of the jury said Niyaz Iglamov called  the Day of ethnic theater. This day was  especially delighted with diversity  of colors of presented performances, variety of forms and techniques, - the expert said.
