The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast celebrated the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the 20th anniversary of its founding

 September 6, at  the Palace after  A.M. Gorky, in   St. Petersburg, a solemn event was held, dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast.

 

Within  the framework of  the event, the opening of the exhibition "Modern Tatar art": these are paintings and silver jewelry, leather, semi-precious stones, embroidered women's hats and stylized accessories, handmade dolls, embroidery on leather, painted crockery. Of particular interest were the objects of applied art in the national style. There were the works of nine artists from Tatarstan, who also took part in the opening ceremony.

 

Congratulatory words have been said by Andrey Minin -  Chairman of the Foreign Relations of Committee of the Leningrad oblast,  Oksana Pikuleva - Deputy Chairman of the Local Government Committee, interethnic and interfaith relations of the Leningrad oblast, Evgeny Kassyura - Head of the CIS countries and regions of the Russian Federation Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Sergei Repkin - Head of the department of international relations and co-ordination of government programs of the Committee on international relations and implementation of migration policies in St. Petersburg, leaders of Tatar public organizations of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad oblast,  leading Tatar businessmen of the oblast  .

Speakers read  out  a congratulatory letter from the governor of St. Petersburg G.S. Poltavchenko and the Leningrad Oblast Governor Yu. Drozdenko, uttered warm words on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the 20th anniversary of the Permanent Mission.

 

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Renat Valiullin and First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Elvira Kamalova held  a rewarding Tatar public activists by  state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan: Letters of thanks by President of the Republic of Tatarstan,   Letters of you thanks    by  RT State Council, Letters of thanks and diplomas by  the RT  Ministry of  industry and trade, the RT  Ministry of culture,  Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 

The celebrations  have culminated in a concert with the participation of well-known Tatar singers   Northwest region and the leading artists from the Republic of Tatarstan. The audience warmly welcomed  artists with applause. The holiday was warm and very sincere. All the speakers have noted that they feel the constant support from  the Republic of Tatarstan, remember the historical homeland and are proud of the success of our region.
