Today, in celebration of the Republic Day and the Day of the city of Kazan on the square in front of the Kamal theater the  republican festival of folk art "Play, harmonica!" ( "Uynagyz, garmunnar!") has been  held.

 

According to the director of the festival,  head of the Republican Center of Traditional Culture Fanzilya Zavgarova, the    celebration is  attended by 45 of the best teams of the 37 districts of Tatarstan. " A total of 200 accordionists  have arrived. The youngest participant of the festival - seven years, and the oldest - 89 "- said Fanzilya Zavgarova.

 

The festival is held by the Ministry of Culture and the Center for the development of the traditional culture of Tatarstan. "We're at a festival show folk art, exalting the national spirit. Our main goal - to collect the brightest bands on one platform. We can say that today's holiday - it is a report   accordion performance to residents of Tatarstan ", - said one of the participants of the event.

 

The accordion festival was  attended by representatives of the Tatar, Russian, Mari, Udmurt, Chuvash groups. "The holiday is a really multinational event," - noted the director of the festival.

 

A bad weather is not a hindrance for the harmonica, said member of the ensemble "Yashlek"  of the  Vysokogorsky district Bilal Shigabutdinov. " We have been  involved  in the festival    for many years. I am glad that here  are the elderly. This is a real holiday for us ", - he said.

 

The festival "Play, Harmonica!" has involved   young people. For example, from Pestretzy  the children's collective of  Tatar harmonica has come. "We try to attract  children and young people to the preservation of folk culture in Pestrechinsky district", - said the director of regional  Pestretzy  museum  Elena Koryabina.
