From September 26 to 30 Kazan will host the II International Festival of Puppet Theatres "Shombay-fest»

To date, the Tatar State Puppet Theatre "Ekiyat" is preparing for the II International Festival of Puppet Theatres "Shombay-fest-2016", which will be held from   September 26 to 30.

The festival will conduct  master classes in acting, showing  of puppet  theater performances by  Brest,  Vitebsk (Belarus), Ashahab (Republic of Turkmenistan), Belgorod, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Vladimir et al.  The poster of the festival will feature performances for both children and adults.

The performances will be evaluated by a jury.

 The jury  determines the winners in the following nominations of the festival: "Best Performance"; "Best Director Award"; "Best Actor"; "Best Actor of the second plan"; "Best Art Direction"; "The best music for the play"; "Innovation Festival".

Within the festival a  children's jury will work, consisting of pupils  of secondary schools of the  Kazan  city, interested in learning the art of puppet theater. Members of the Children's Jury  will determine a nomination "Audience Award" with awarding  the Diploma of Children's Jury.
