In Moscow, laying flowers at the monument to the poet-hero Musa Jalil takes place

Today in Moscow the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the poet-hero Musa Jalil took place. The event was held within the framework of Days of Culture of Tatarstan in Moscow.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin, Chairman of RT Writers Union Danil Salikhov, Chairman of RT Public Chamber Anatoly Fomin, first deputy Chairman of the "Association of Tatarstan" in Moscow Fuad Sultanov, veterans,  public.

We remind that this year marks the 72 years  since the death of Musa Jalil. August 25, 1944, the poet and other Soviet patriots of  Tatar  resistance group  to fascism were beheaded on the guillotine on the outskirts of Berlin.

The event was also attended by military personnel from the Republic of Tatarstan, serving in units of the Navy of the Moscow region, the RT  ensemble of folk music  headed by - the People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored artist of Russia Aydar Faizrakhmanov.

Ravil Akhmetshin awarded commemorative medals, made by order of the mission of Tatarstan and the "Association of Tatarstan" to the 110th anniversary of Musa Jalil, to members of the delegation of Tatarstan - Danil Salikhov and Anatoly Fomin.

REFERENCE

The monument to the poet-hero in Moscow was opened in August 2012. The project has been   realized thanks to the personal support of the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin and Tatarstan President Rustam  Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.

Musa Dazhlil since 1927 to 1942  has  lived, studied and worked in Moscow. In 1931 he graduated from the Moscow State University after  M.V. Lomonosov. He took an active part in social and educational activities of the Tatar community, combining with  poetic creativity. From Moscow in February 1942 Musa Jalil was sent to the front.

In April 2015,  the square near the monument to the poet-hero M. Jalil decorated seedlings lilac, ash and mountain pine. Saplings of fruit trees were delivered from Sabinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as from the city of Podolsk, Moscow region, with the assistance of the local Tatar public organizations. The action was organized on the initiative of Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tatarstan on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
