The VIII International Ethnic Festival "Krutushka" will be held August 27 at the territory of "Baitik" camp

The  VIII International Ethnic Festival "Krutushka" will be held August 27 at the camp "Baitik" ( Krutushka, Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan).

 

For spectators and participants of  “Krutushka”- is an unforgettable encounter with the colorful world of the traditional culture of different peoples: familiarity with the contemporary trends of ethno-music, master classes in arts and crafts, fair of original crafts, a variety of art projects, exhibitions, performances, theater and dance performances, presentations, movies, and more.

 

Among the participants of the musical program: Commonwealth of progressive musicians and ethnic vocalists  "Ethnosphere" (Moscow), the world-renowned virtuoso guitarist Enver Izmailov (Ukraine), a leading folklorist and collector of traditional songs and instruments, Sergei Starostin (Moscow), a female vocal percussion team «Tambores» (Moscow), famous for incendiary Latin American rhythms, as well as many representatives of the traditional culture of the peoples of Russia.

 

At the  eighth   "Krutushka"  spectators  will  get acquainted with  native musical traditions of the Tatars, Kryashens, Russians, Mari,  Chuvashs, Udmurts. Master puppeteer Viktor Kuular from the Republic of Tuva and his family theater "Tokuu" will present Tuva original puppet shows. Some of the best performers of throat singing of the Republic of Bashkortostan - members of the ensemble "Sal Ural" - willing to teach the basics of the skill. Also,   music lovers are waiting for master classes in playing  vargan   the jew's harp, exotic Australian didgeridoo and ultramodern tool - hangu.

 

The festival will unfold traditional fair of unique handmade goods, a variety of artisans will  organize master classes. The  guests of  “Krutushka”  discover  how  handicrafts appear, and do try to create unique things with blacksmiths and potters,  work  as a carver, weaver, baker, jeweler.

 

The Festival "Krutushka" is  traditional familial,  unites representatives of older and younger generations, to create an environment of dialogue, based on the transmission of unique knowledge, folk wisdom. For children of all ages and their parents  a special  Ethnopedagogical program  is being prepared .

 

All  the  "Krutushka" events will be held in the "Baitik" children's health camp. For spectators provided accommodation in a tent camp near the Kazanka river or at the campsite in a comfortable housing. It offers a well-developed infrastructure and proximity to the pristine nature - woods, non-frozen Blue lakes.

 

Kazan residents have the opportunity to get on Krutushka by bus №78 or additional bus that will be organized on the day of the festival. For personal transport guests, there is a guarded parking lot.

 

The event is held within the framework of the state program "The implementation of the national policy in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014 - 2020 years."

 

The organizers of the festival are the "Center of Information Technologies in Education", a creative association "Anto" supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Administration  of the  Vysokogorsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
