Oleg Aronson: "Since the beginning of the XIX century the art  leaves   academic sphere and becomes open to the public  from  completely different   walks of life and thus gradually emerging from the field of aesthetic judgment, which was dominated by the category of taste and professional assessment of  artist’s craft, to  the area of public discontent. Now,  expert  are not the connoisseurs,  but the public and the market. It is against the public, its expectations and beliefs  the artistic experience of the second half of the XIX century is directed. Then, with the first trials of writers and artists, begins litigation between society and art, which lasts to this day, and largely determines the logic of contemporary art. "

This lecture - an attempt to understand the complex  of relationship between the values of the art of the past and modern art, between social norms and morality by illegal aspects of contemporary artistic practices.
