August 6, in Yelabuga, RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin opened the II Festival of small tourist towns "Naturalness of traditions", and also visited the All-Russian Spasskaya Fair.
Head of parliament, welcomed the participants and guests of the festival on behalf of the republic's leadership. Farid Mukhametshin admitted - every visit to Yelabuga makes wonder to rejoice the positive effects that are visible, people approving changes. He said - events such as the Festival of the small tourist towns, and All-Russian Spasskaya Fair are used to preserve the traditions of multinational Russia peoples.
"In Tatarstan, development of business and tourism has recently been given a lot of attention, including through the initiative of the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, - stressed head of the parliament. - We are using every opportunity to acquaint Russians and the world with historical and cultural values of Tatarstan ".
Head of Parliament drew attention to the fact that the Yelabuga State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve can be proud of their unique findings, which are not possible anywhere else in the world, and one of them - an unusual museum "Portomoynya". Farid Mukhametshin also emphasized - as a tourist destination in the Republic of Tatarstan and the same interest is enjoyed by the Great Bolgar and the Island town Sviyazhsk.
In his speech, head of the Elabuga district, mayor of Yelabuga Gennady Emelyanov said, for the city it is important to enter into a number of small historic towns along with Uglich, Tobolsk, Suzdal, Myshkin, Azov and others, which are undergoing a lot of work on the preservation and promotion of historical and cultural heritage and education it is based on the love to small native land. "We attach great importance to this year's festival and sincerely hope that it will make a significant contribution to the large-scale activities to safeguard the cultural heritage of small historic towns and tourism development", - he said.
The festival is organized by the Association of small tourist towns, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. Its mission - to create a positive image of the Russian provinces, and the promotion of modern approaches to the development of small towns through historical and cultural resources with the use of modern technologies in the field of culture. This year the project has been implemented with the support of Yelabuga municipal district and Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve. The first festival was launched last year in Uglich, the next will be held in Suzdal.
After the opening ceremony of the festival Chairman of Tatarstan State Council and guests of Elabuga, representing the small tourist town of Russia, visited the tents, where the mini-exhibition of goods of national crafts from Uglich, Tobolsk, Myshkin, Yelets, Yelabuga and other cities, trade fairs rows were spaced, and then made joint photo with symbolic 200 hundred banknote with the image of Kazan. We remind the capital of Tatarstan was nominated for placement on the appropriate monetary denomination, introduced by Goznak.
Later, in the territory of Yelabuga Historical and Architectural Museum-Preserve RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, head of the district Gennady Emelyanov and representatives of small tourist towns took part in the planting of "the orchard of small cities of Russia", and also opened a sculptural composition "Dragon oracle", symbolizing alegendary inhabitant of these places.
