Exhibition by Alexander Michri "East is East" has opened in Kazan

Today, the National Gallery of Art "Hazine"  has   opened a personal exhibition  by  Alexander Michri. Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of Russia, a winner of the All-Union, national and international competitions, Academician  of  Peter's Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of the Union of Artists Alexander Ilyich Michri first time presents his works in Kazan.

As  told in his opening speech  director of the RT National  Museum  Rosalia Nurgaleeva, the idea of ​​opening this exhibition has appeared  past year. "When we began to study the works of Alexander Ilyich Michri and read his biography, it seemed to us fantastic. He was born in Baku, then he moved to Moscow. We plunged into the XX century, it was a wonderful time, when artists of different genres were in demand, their works were actively demonstrated to the public. All these laurels have  achieved   Alexander Ilyich  likewise "- said R.Nurgaleeva.

First Deputy Minister of Culture Elvira Kamalov noted that the Eastern theme is very close to Tatarstan. "We live in a country where there is interweaving of cultures and faiths, Europe and Asia  are entwined. For us, these motives and ideological and emotional messages  are very close. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the works of artists of the XX century.
