June 12, 2016, on Day of Russia in the settlement Alekseevskoe XIV Festival of bell ringing “Alekseevsky chimes – 2016” to take place.
Festival Theme: "Under the cover of the Virgin."
The festival is dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the presence of Russian monasticism on Mount Athos, the 200th anniversary of Discovery of the replica of Akhtyrka Icon of the Virgin in Alexeyevsky, Laying the first foundation stone of the cathedral on the site of appearance of the icon of Our Lady of Kazan.
The festival will be attended by bell ringers of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the authors and performers of spiritual and folk music, folklore and dance groups of various genres.
Cossack, folk and spiritual songs and chants, chimes different traditions and schools will be performed.
The program of the Festival - Fair-sale of products "City of Masters" folk art, the work of master classes, children's playground.
Project "Cossack Sloboda" will be presented by the participation of military-historical clubs.

Festival bells ' Alekseevskaya chimes "is intended to preserve and develop the art of Orthodox bell ringing as the intangible cultural heritage of Russia.
