Day of the Russian language in Kazan to be  celebrated by  laying of flowers at the monument to Alexander Pushkin,  and solemn concert at the Theater of Opera and Ballet after M. Dzhalil.

 

We  remind on June 6,   the world celebrates the Day of the Russian language. The holiday was established by the United Nations in 2010 and celebrated on the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. In Russia, the celebration of the Day of the Russian language  has been established by a Presidential decree of June 6, 2011.

 

On June 6 in honor of the Russian Language Day celebrations will be held in Kazan.

 

From 09.00 am,  performances of reciters, theatrical poetry scene, musical and creative items  are scheduled. The poetry festival will be attended by  RT national writers and poets, winners of the award named after Derzhavin, artists and creative community of the republic.

 

At 10.30am,  flowers to the monument of Alexander Pushkin (Pushkin Street) will be laid, and in 11.30am,   the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre  after  M.Dzhalil  will host a gala concert in celebration of the Day of the Russian language.
