Angelic voices of Kremlin Easter Festival

Today, May 15, at  the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kazan Kremlin   the  First Kremlin Easter festival of children's choral works, "My joy"  took place.

 

In the performance of the twelve children's choirs of   Kazan music schools and studios, as well as the choir "Solnyshko (Sun)" of the  Alekseevsky district of the republic  Easter songs by Russian composers and songs about spring, about the motherland by modern authors  sounded. A special part of the program was assigned as the religious works by world classics: "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beethoven, an excerpt from the Mass in G Major by Schubert, choral  by W.A. Mozart "Glorify the world", the anthem «Vere languores nostros»   by  Italian composer Antonio Lotti. The delicate strings of the soul touched  the  melody of   the famous hymn of glorification of God "Ave Maria",  sounded    that day in different variations.

 

The idea of ​​the festival originated in December last year. "Then the new governor of the Annunciation Cathedral was appointed   father  Konstantin  Kolyganov, who in his  first secular education is the head of children's choirs", - told  head of the Museum of History of the Annunciation Cathedral Olga Pekhteleva.

 

Father Konstantin himself  marked  the importance of holding such events in terms of popularization of religion: "Such a way  the children will learn the Orthodox tradition. For Easter they will be associated not only with  Easter  cakes,  but with something more: an opportunity to come to church and sing, for example, Troparion of Easter, to light a candle and pray.

 

The festival is organized by the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" with the blessing of Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Theophanes. Partners of the festival: The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee of Kazan, the press service of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin".
