Tatarstan will host the V International Festival "Music of faith"

From May 21 to June 17 Tatarstan holds concerts of V International festival "Music of faith" ("Iman Mon», Music of Faith). The festival, created to bring together people of different faiths, the maintenance of peace and tolerance, familiarizing wider audience to the treasures of music, held annually since 2012  at the initiative and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. Concerts of the festival are traditionally held in the largest tourist and pilgrimage centers of Tatarstan - the ancient Bolgar, the island-town of Sviyazhsk and    the Kazan Kremlin.

Home Festival 2016 will be given in Bolgar, where on May 21 the anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria,   a ceremonial laying of the memorial capsule at the site of creation of the Bolgar Academy of Islam  will be held. Traditionally, this memorable day attracts the attention of a large number of Muslims from different regions of Russia; event   is visited by dignitaries, religious leaders, representatives of culture and business. That holiday guests will be expected to tens of thousands of people.

The concert is held open air  and  will be attended by well-known performers and collectives of  Tatarstan: Alina Sharipzhanova, Filyus Kagirov, Reseda Galimova, Ilyusa Huzina, Artur Islamov, Mingol Galiev, children's vocal ensemble "Aigul", an ensemble of the Turkic ethnic and crafts "Rivayat". Presenter of the  concert – Luara  Shakirzyanova and Fanis Ziganshin.

The program - the traditional music of Islam, Tatar folk songs, author’s works  by  and Elmira Nizamova,  Rezeda Akhiyarova The program will be accompanied by video projections. The concert starts at 10.00 (site of the White Mosque), admission is free.

The following concerts of the festival will be held June 12 at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Sviyazhsk (Orthodox music) and June 17   at the  Kazan Kremlin Cannon yard.
