April 21 at 18.00 at the Union of Writers of Tatarstan the opening of the V International  Khlebnikov  Festival of  V. Khlebnikov LADOMIR will be held.

International Khlebnikov festival in Kazan and Yelabuga has been held since 2012.

Its organizers - the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elabuga State Historical-Architectural and Art Reserve, Cultural Center of House Museum  of  V.Aksyonov, Centralized Library System of Kazan and the Foundation "KANAFER".

Velimir Khlebnikov – a reformer of the poetic language, one of the theoreticians of Russian Futurism and the avant-garde art has lived in Kazan ten years, almost a third of his short life. He arrived in Kazan with his parents from Simbirsk in 1898, but left at age 23, transferred from Kazan University (studied on mathematical, and then moved to a natural sciences) in St. Petersburg.

Namely from  Kazan in 1904, Khlebnikov  sent his first works (the play "Elena Gordyachkina") to  Maxim Gorky, who favorably assessed the creativity of the writer. Because of  participating in student unrest in 1903 the poet was arrested and spent a month in transit prison, located next to the Kremlin (at the time there was detained   the young Vladimir Ulyanov).

There are  a lot of  memorial "Khlebnikov" places in Kazan. This is  University Gymnasium №3, transit prison, the building of the Mariinsky High School, Art School, now - Art School named after N.I. Feshin, which studied many famous artists: Nicholai Feshin, Alexander Rodchenko and his wife and co-worker  Varvara Stepanova, Igor Vulokh (in the 1950s) and many others.

The guests of this year's festival will be the famous poets: Andrei Gritsman (New York), Juli Gugolev (Moscow), Ruben Ishkhanyan (Armenia), Larissa Joonas (Estonia), Lyudmila Kazaryan (Estonia), Dana Kurskaya (Moscow), Maria Malinovskaya (Moscow) Andronik Romanov (Moscow), Elena Semenova (Moscow), Andrei Shcherbak-Zhukov (Moscow), Evgeni  Korobkov (Moscow). In absentia,  in the festival    Tatiana Bonch-Osmolovskaya (Australia) will take part.

 

Their  poems will read out  Kazaners  Lilia Gazizova, Alexei Ostudin, Loretz  Blinov, Nuri Burnashev, Vadim Gershanov,  Gleb Mikhalev, Boris Dalmatov,  Nail Ishmukhametov, Vera Khamidullina (Naberezhnye Chelny) and others.

The festival  includes  the presentation of the magazine "Interpoeziya" (chief editor Andrei Gritsman), which will host  a solemn awarding  the Interpoezii Prize for the best poem of 2015, the evening of publishing house  "Literratura"  (editor Andronik Romanov), Roundtable "When the avant-garde becomes a classic" . There will take place acquaintance with the photo project  by  Andrei Tarasov and Nina Dunaeva "INTERSHUM".

 New books by    the festival participants: Andrei Shcherbak-Zhukov "Virtual Piero. Stories from different years and moods "(M :" At the Nikitsky Gate "(2016) by Dana Kurskaya "Nothing Personal "(M.:" Novoye Vremya ", 2016) will be presented.

 The cultural program will include walking tours to historical sites and museums Kazan and Yelabuga. Guests will lay flowers at the tomb of Marina Tsvetaeva.
